PLEASE BEWARE PLEASE BEWARE! I do not recommend that you rent from NU Car Rentals/Horsepower Car Rental. When I booked the reservation online, my initial total was $36.10 in March of 2024. I did not purchase the online insurance because my personal car insurance covers all rentals. It is necessary to note that I have NEVER had a problem with ANY car rental companies accepting my insurance. Unfortunately, when I arrived at the rental counter, they stated that they only accepted specific insurance that did not include mine. Within a few minutes, my rental jumped from $36.10 to $196.55! This pricing difference left me feeling swindled and aggravated. After speaking to my insurance agent, he also confirmed that he has never had an issue utilizing this insurance with a car rental company. NU CAR RENTALS/HORSEPOWER CAR RENTALS IS DECEPTIVE AND A SCAM! Save yourself the frustration and rent elsewhere.

DO NOT USE DO NOT USE! I was unaware I had even booked through this company, as I used a 3rd party site. I prepaid for my rental and was charged over DOUBLE after I returned the car. They charged me for insurance, which I verbally declined and said No to. They also charged me: Rental Surchage, Facility Charge, Airport Fee, License Fee, Stadium Fee, and a Credit Card Surcharge! Terrible company

Borders on Fraud Them, "Would you like damage coverage? It's only $3 more per day!" Lie #1. "Wait, why is cost so high?" "We hold a deposit that we'll return when you bring the car back." Went from a $238 rental to $534. Believe all the one star ratings here!!!

Because of how I was treated and how NU car do business I will no longer use Expedia since they provide services from that low low low standards (if you can even use that word in same sentence) company. DO NOT USE NU car rental as you will not get what you payed for and most likely you will pay more than at any other car rental company .

The Administration (Management) a woman and Hispanic male in back offices stated they were contacted by police that I was being investigated and consequently this led to the most inhumane, unprofessional, despicable, demeaning experience. I paid for my reservation and never retrieved vehicle but sadly had to leave due to the extreme misconduct and blatant unprofessionalism I endured. I would like an explanation as to how and why this could happen, I am a first time customer. I booked with Priceline. After filing. I did just hear back from the manager of the location. There is nothing that will be done here. The manager was at the counter the entire day and did not observe any behavior as described in the statement from the customer.
