Scam for repairs cost. Always higher than deductible They cancel authorizations for towing. They advertise with Vivica A. Fox, Ice T and other famous actors that as long as you take your vehicle to an authorized service location who accepts Car Shield, if it is a covered part you are only responsible to pay your deductible. This never happens and the cost is always so much higher for covered part. It is a total scam how American Auto Shield, as the third party administrator for CarShield play with words and terminology to attempt to justify auto ship parts as a non participating dealership charges. This dollar amount is then added to your deductible but the difference will be paid as long as the repair is deemed covered under your active policy.

UNEDUCATED AND DISTESPECTFUL This is the claim department for Car Shield. Worst experience of my life. Cancelled my car shield today due to horrific customer service in the claim department. No communication, all call centers, never get the same person to talk to, DISRESPECTFUL adjuster to my mechanic on a 3-way call, closed my claim before they even moved forward. I would NEVER let this company do anything toward a claim ever again. As a single mom and it being the holidays I am appauld and disgusted by the customer service from all angels.

HE WENT WAY BEYOND TO HELP ME! HE WENT WAY BEYOND THE NORMAL SERVICE IN AN ATTEMPT TO GET MY ENGINE'S HOOD OPEN, BUT IT WAS SIMPLY FROZEN CLOSED, SO HE ENDED UP HAVING TO TOW IT TO MY CAR REPAAIR SHOP FOR ME. HE WAS VERY KIND AND THOUGHTFUL! I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH KIND THINGS AOUT HIM!!

Dishonest I am disappointed as many repair shops in VA will not work with Car Shield. Car Shield doesn’t pay the listed price for labor as stated in the policy. They pay an estimated dollar amount based on US National Labor Guide which is very inaccurate leaving the customer with charges in addition to your copay.
