Scam for repairs cost. Always higher than deductible They cancel authorizations for towing. They advertise with Vivica A. Fox, Ice T and other famous actors that as long as you take your vehicle to an authorized service location who accepts Car Shield, if it is a covered part you are only responsible to pay your deductible. This never happens and the cost is always so much higher for covered part. It is a total scam how American Auto Shield, as the third party administrator for CarShield play with words and terminology to attempt to justify auto ship parts as a non participating dealership charges. This dollar amount is then added to your deductible but the difference will be paid as long as the repair is deemed covered under your active policy.

The Representative Kay for towing… The Representative Kay for towing service was very professional, explained the process and towing coverage. She contacted the nearest towing company within 5-7 mins of our call. Go Pro Towing reached out to me, provided time (45mins) that vehicle would be picked up. They were prompt, took car to designated dealership. Excellent service by both would recommend CarShield to family/friends.

Worse company ever Worse company ever. I was told my vehicle needed a transmission. I use Carshield My contact list it covers transmissions. American Auto Shield told me my claim was denied because it was for an electronic part. Now I cant get my vehicle fixed These companies should be shut down because they rip people off. Thanks for nothing

Car Tow Request A+++ My call to Carshield was answered by a very polite & cheerful customer service rep. He asked for details and quickly got to work finding a tow truck. I did decide to have him call back instead of stay on hold. He called me back soon after and had a tow scheduled for my car, which actually showed up 2 hours faster! FYI ~ This was a non emergency. This gentleman did his job efficiently and with a smile .. I could hear it!

Looking for a reason to deny me help!!! I was happy to get a live person. I am disappointed that my repair was denied due to rust or corrosion. I live in a State where this is unavoidable. This makes me apprehensive about our future relationship. If you are going to deny a claim, and I have paid you on time every month for over a year is very disappointing to me. Are you here just to take my money? How can you offer me a piece of mind if I have to fear if you will stand behind me in a time of need????
