Has been great, but this order was bumpy I have had numerous fantastic experiences with ScanCafe, but not the last one. Prints and documents were scanned fine on this order, but film negative scans were originally processed with great orange streaks, then re-scanned at my request with copious dust. The dust issue was corrected with a second request. I specifically asked them to be attentive to colors, and many of the negative scans looked washed out, but the white balance was about right. This was not corrected after I demonstrated the problem and a simple resolution. I will be considering other services for my next order.

Gratified customer I have sent in thousands of photos to be scanned. With only one exception they have always arrived and been processed quickly. The one time I had an issue, the same shipping label had been put on two different orders. However, Scancafe worked tirelessly to help me locate the package, which eventually found its way to its final destination. Always keep your shipping receipt.

The statement above was instrumental in my deciding to use ScanCafe for my 16mm film transfer service. It is still up on their website, two weeks after I brought the issue to their attention. I believe that is intentional on their part, because they would not acknowledge the issue during my multiple back and forth emails. You see, there is a lot of competition out there, and if they can reel you in with a lie like this, then they have you. If you fall for it too, your bill will be over two times higher than your estimate. Another scam they used on me was tacking on a bogus film charge. They backed off of that when I described the contents of my order. They claimed a mistake was made. Maybe, but it doesn't really pass the smell test. Why take a chance with these people? You can do better.

I am so pleased with ScanCafe I am so pleased with ScanCafe. I had almost 1000 35 mm slides from my deceased mom that they brought to life in digital form. They did an excellent job - the quality was excellent and the cost absolutely reasonable. I had so much fun and experienced so much emotion of seeing my childhood come to life. I would highly recommend ScanCafe for media transfers. You will not be disappointed.
