I conducted about 50 interviews for both, and transcribing those interviews myself slowed the process down to about 1/4 of what it should have been. for my 12th book on the history of death penalty abolition in Virginia, I knew that because of tight deadlines I had to speed up the transcription process or I would miss them. Thank God I discovered Speechpad. I have submitted so far 9 interviews and they all came back virtually flawless - even difficult names are spelled correctly. Usually great transcripts I used speechpad for about 8 interviews and for the most part they did a great job however the format was always different and it was very frustrating. Each transcript I got back had a different style and included different details in it so there was no consistency.
