Fast, accurate, and reliable transcriptions I recently found myself in a project that required transcription services with tight turnaround times. Speechpad is accurate, fast and affordable In 2015 and 2016 I wrote two books on the Virginia Underground Press. I conducted about 50 interviews for both, and transcribing those interviews myself slowed the process down to about 1/4 of what it should have been. for my 12th book on the history of death penalty abolition in Virginia, I knew that because of tight deadlines I had to speed up the transcription process or I would miss them. Thank God I discovered Speechpad. I have submitted so far 9 interviews and they all came back virtually flawless - even difficult names are spelled correctly. The Best Transcription Value for Price Having looked through several competing transcription services, Speechpad came in at the lowest price and of course, one often hears that and thinks 'but don't you get what you pay for?' Happily, the folks on the phone and over email at Speechpad were gracious and attentive, and their work came in punctually and consistently. It wasn't perfect, few things are - some transcriptions had typos and misunderstandings (different formatting of transcriptions from time to time) but when those are the worst things you can say about a service, you're in a good place. If you have an infinite amount of money, then you can probably find a service which does better work for far more pay. But I would recommend Speechpad to any projects on tight budgets seeking transcription services - theirs is the best value for the price, and I expect to return to them in the future.

Usually great transcripts I used speechpad for about 8 interviews and for the most part they did a great job however the format was always different and it was very frustrating. Each transcript I got back had a different style and included different details in it so there was no consistency.

Fast, accurate transcription at surprisingly low cost I had five videos on our firm's website, and wanted to get transcriptions for them so that the search engines would index their content. I found Speechpad, uploaded the videos and the next day I had all five transcripts in my account. All that for less than $24 (even with the extra charge for faster processing). Accuracy was surprisingly good; I only needed to add a comma here and there to make it read better.
