Constant emails about back-up stopping...nothing has helped. I have been a Carbonite member for many years. This past year, 2023, was a continuous stream of emails from Carbonite telling me my back-up was out of date and to download the software again. At least 6 times in the past year. This is not user-friendly and it certainly isn't what I signed up for. I signed up for a full year of trouble-free, transparent and effective back up of my computer. Instead I've got a sometimes it works/sometimes it doesn't waste of time. I have aske for a refund multiple times, but they have adamantly refused even when they check my account and see how many emails they've sent me. I'm stuck until next August 2024 with this user-unfriendly service.

Have an old computer that dies. Have an old computer that dies at the wrong moments. Just recently I overwhelmed the processor and crashed. All files involved were never touched due the Carbonite features. A big "Thank You" is forthcoming. Somehow you have built into Carbonite a feature to reconstruct what was working at the moment of a crash. Again, thanks!

Best support ever. I just installed Carbonite 2.8.4 on my new Mac Studio, and had an installation problem as a result of some detritus migrated over from an older Mac. I called Carbonite support, was connected to "James", and had the best support experience I've ever had with an App provider in my 16 years as a Mac user. In 15 minutes, James not only fixed my Carbonite installation and got the backup going, but reviewed my situation and provided suggestions for all the backup preferences. He knew his way around a Mac better than anybody I've ever worked with.

Carbonite is effective and easy to use Carbonite is effective and easy to use. I do have an error that keeps showing up that I can't get to clear and their technical help hasn't gotten back to me. Fortunately, it isn't an error of not backing files up, but is actually not deleting old files it says it will! Still, it is annoying. Otherwise, I feel confident that all my pictures and important files are backed-up.

I will subscribe to Carbonite as long as it’s available!! I love the idea that I don’t have to remember to backup everything all the time. Carbonite automatically backs up everything on both my computers at regular intervals and lets me know if it was unable to do so. I took this for granted until my computer failed. Having lost all my data once in the past, the backup on Carbonite was priceless!! I didn’t lose a thing: no pictures, no documents, nothing. Thanks, Carbonite! I will subscribe to you as long as you are available.
