After paying and activating premium the software continues to countdown the trial days until expiration. Contacted support, they sent me a non https:// link with instructions to click and download an .exe file so they can enter my system remotely to have a look on what's going on... I'm sorry, what?! Still didn't got any refund by the way. Avoid Sophos. Waste of time.

snail speed my job uses sophos for my remote security, absolutely atrocious. itll slow down your computer so much, not to mention the amount of apps it opens every day and keeps running in the background, i have 8 sophos apps running taking up 90% of my memory according to task manager. i really hate this software a lot lol

Sophos is great if you have advanced… Sophos is great if you have advanced knowledge or if you work with a great Sophos Partner. Most of the bad experiences that I have experienced are with improper setups which isnt usually the customers fault rather the Sophos Partner that gives them poor instructions. I'm glad Sophos is providing more customers with health checks so that they can understand the issues that they are experiencing.

Official updates for Java development (oracle), The Document foundations Libreoffice.org, Apache foundations apps and much more OFFICIAL app installers and updates are blocked by thier AI, and Exploit mitigation, the program is so highly sensitive that its changed my mind from renewing and submitting samples to literally wanting to uninstall it as soon as my paid period is up. An AV should not INTERFERE with Daily operations!, an AV should have some LOCALIZED control in its agent not having to continuously connect to the cloud to apply a rule, why not make the agent sync with the cloud? Why is support not usefull but a bunch of wasted time? why can't i control my account not to auto-renew? without having to go to third-party billing partners? why has sophos went with the american (greed) profits model and quality has gone to the dogs? what happened to the Brits model of providing a decent offering?

They cold call me every day Somebody from Sophos has been cold calling me virtually every day for the past month despite me never having been a customer. I have repeatedly asked to have my data erased under GDPR laws but to no avail. The calls come from different mobile and landline numbers as well as withheld numbers so are difficult to ignore when you are expecting other important calls. Pretty ironic for a company publishing blogs about stopping cold callers and scammers.
