GBForced renewal of Symantec premier products. Symantec premier products had degraded over the years. Not only some of the functionality hardly works and they are difficult to configure. For those reasons, I decided to replace them and currently reviewing competing products. However before I can do anything, sysmantec charged my credit card without my authorization to renew my product for 2019. So I called their billing department to argue their actions and they provided many excuses not to refund my $109.99 charge they made to my credit card. Be very aware about this despicable practices by symantec where when they can hardly sell their products, they start to do such disgusting practices to make their money by forcing their products to us.

GBNorton Internet Security not Ad-Free Norton Internet Security not Ad-Free I have been using Norton for over 20 years and not until the 2021 version have I had so many ad's but not from websites or 3rd party programs which Norton usually stops but these are from Norton begging me to renew the subscription. I used to get a courtesy remind around 30 days now I get multiple with offers and more from 70 days. This is not what I pay Norton for. Myself and my family members who use it are sick of 1st party popups and constant browser extension installation ad's that don't disable after pressing "Don't Show Again" has made me to decide to look somewhere else then Norton or keep to Microsoft.

CAIt`ll be 3.6 out of 5 It`ll be 3.6 out of 5. Cuz dspite of the free features and a quite decent defence system - the antivirus is a bit too heavy in terms of system resources usage(goes completely fine only on my main pc which is overpowered compared to the normal home one) and the av also fails on detecting some common threats, however I submitted those to research so I hope that`ll be fixed. Everything else is convenient and fine.

GBTerrible customer support A Symantec software caused severe problems and interfered with my internet connection which did not work anymore. When I asked the hotline for help, they first gave me a number that did not work. When I called the hotline again the next day, I had a different person on the line. He told me that I should figure it out on my own and hung up mid sentence as I responded. Never experienced anything like this. I want to point out that I am a very calm person and did not ask or say anything unreasonable. There was no reason for him to hang up.

NLWorst company I've come across in 25 years in IT Symantec was never a really customer friendly company however now that Broadcom has bought Symantec they managed to make it even worse. It's so bad I don't even know where to start. It's obvious they have no clue what technical support is. Their KB's just loop you around and really don't have any use. No in depth resolutions for anything. Their support desk is only sales focused and very rude. It's amazing that after working in IT for 25 years there's still a "customer support" that can frustrate me to this level. The worst I've come across ever.
