AUVery poor business ethics and misleading deals A year ago, I bought a downloadable PDF from SamCart which did cost me $19. Little did I know that by doing so I signed up for an automatically yearly renewable membership subscription. Last month I got charged with $220 for a membership renewal - totally by surprise. I did not know I was a SamCart member nor did I received an email notification or anything telling me about a subscription renewal being due or that I would be charged $220 soon. Within a few hours after receiving the PayPal notification, I contacted SamCart’s support team explaining the mistake but without luck. Refund was denied. Given this experience, I would say SamCart is having terrible business ethics and highly misleading deal agreements. PayPal rejected the dispute telling me that I was in a binding billing agreement. The membership is of zero value to me but regardless my money was taken without warning.

GBWorks for Me I use SamCart to support direct book sales. The site gives me the ability to easily sell to buyers throughout the country and collect payments. It was pretty easy to setup and has been easy to maintain. I feel that SamCart will continue to support my business well as my client base grows.

NZEasy, fun & effective SamCart provide fantastic service - whenever I'm confused or stuck, they're quickly there to help me out. The processes for product creation, building courses, adding order bumps and upsells is all so intuitive. And when I'm not sure, there are many quick help pages I can turn to for extra support before I need to call in the pros. Highly recommend.

GBI did not consent to an annual subscription In 2023, I signed up for a one-time 5-day Creator U "challenge" — it was $49 for access to a series of online courses on how to use AI to create online courses. I didn't much like the courses because they seemed to be a hyped-up advertisement for SamCart. So, I quit using the platform after logging in a few times. A year later, I was charged $144 for an annual subscription to SamCart, which I had no knowledge of signing up for. From what I've read, this has happened to a lot of other people too. Nothing on the Creator U sales page says there will be a recurring charge. The checkout page doesn't mention a recurring subscription. And, the Terms & Conditions cited on the checkout page are just general terms for SamCart products — on this page, recurring subscriptions are mentioned, but just as a general statement. This led me to believe When I reached out to request a refund and account cancellation, Koko from SamCart support offered a partial refund and to "set my account for cancellation" next year. Koko later offered a full refund, but only if I agreed to cancel the PayPal dispute. PayPal advises that you never cancel a dispute until it is resolved, plus I didn't feel right about letting SamCart off the hook and giving them a chance to do this to other people.

GBSamcart = Scam-cart Samcart = Scam-cart Fraudulently charged $144–like many reviews on Trustpilot, the Better Business Bureau, Sitejabbers, etc. Same story like others: My wife signed up for CreatorU $19… one year later charged $144. Scamcart customer service (should be relabeled as “Scamster Service” immediately says she signed up for the annual plan & didn’t cancel in time… but wait, they instantly “negotiate” a $45 refund to “downgrade” service, therefore they keep (steal) $90…again, same story as many other. The Bully Scamcart then says take the offer or get nothing. To add insult to injury, the Bully says by giving a partial refund of $45 (they keep $90)… you’ll be signed up for one year of services, and you must still unsubscribe from their services—they refused to do it. We refused to get bullied and request a full refund… they refuse, stating it’s in the “Agreement,” but then claim she did not respond to an invisible email supposedly send 7 days before, of course, she never got it—not in the junk mail either. Again, just what happened to other people who also get fraudulently scammed. Please inform when a Class Action Lawsuit Begins—soon they will poke the wrong bear. Buyers Beware!
