Ember Tribe is a game changer A colleague recommended Ember Tribe to us and the brand had a record year with stellar performance kpi's. The Ember Tribe team makes things easy to understand and communication has been incredible. I consider them part of the brand at this point and will continue to rely on their expertise.

AVOID Embertribe, unless you want to lose money EmberTribe single handedly crushed our business. Our revenue went down more than 50% from when we signed up. During the intro calls they bring up how they have a team of experts to help optimize your existing ads to maximize ROAS, their "team" of experts were only great at finding ways to help us lose money on our ad spend. In the beginning you're assigned a project manager, account manager, and ads manager.. During our term both project and account manager left the firm. Red Flag? During the first month or two we gave them benefit of the doubt as they were making changes to our ads and figured there'd be a disruption to ad performance. It wasn't until month 4 when we started seeing zero results and my team started questioning why we weren't seeing any results yet. Their default answer to everything was that "we have to experiment with the ads to find what will yield results" (this was already 5 months into our contract). What's alarming is that their ads manager mentioned they were doing calls with our FB Advertising Rep and was learning how to tweak our ads. Shouldn't that be a red flag especially if these guys are the professionals here.

Nice folks, money down the drain Everyone I interacted with at EmberTribe was perfectly pleasant, and they did help with the UX on our website. However, after a 6+ month engagement at $3000/month, we saw basically no growth in sales nor any improvement in ROAS on our social media ads. Decided to move on, because $18k is too much for a small business to pay an agency that wasn't helping us scale our conversions.

Ember Tribe Left me $4,400 in the hole. I don’t like leaving negative reviews. In fact, I’ve delayed doing so for months. But in the end, I decided it wouldn’t be fair to others to not share my experience. The truth is, EmberTribe left me $4,400 in the hole. Here’s my story: After my initial strategy call, I was excited. The owner himself had told me he was incredibly confident they could take fledgling but profitable business to the big leagues. It would cost me $3,000 a month. After expressing my concern about paying that much a month, they offered me $2,500/month in exchange for a significant share of future profits (in hindsight, it was a pretty raw deal, but I really wanted to get an “expert” working on my ads instead of me, the novice). They sent me some testimonial videos that really made it sound like they knew their stuff, and I signed up. I was assigned a team and the project kicked off. In fairness, my offer involves a travel deal, and right after we started, Covid hit. I was extremely patient, since I assumed Covid was impacting their ability to get results. But there was something nagging at me too… The creative they were producing was pretty crappy. In fact, the video I’d produced myself was WAY better than anything they were churning out. After a while of getting losing results with their creative, they just started using my creative in their ads. BUT HERE’S THE KICKER: Two months in, I took a closer look into the profitability of individual campaigns. During those two months, my own campaigns (which I had set up prior to bringing on EmberTribe) had made $6,000 profit. EmberTribe’s campaigns had made $600 profit, despite having a larger ad budget than my campaigns. Yes, as a complete ads novice, I 10X’ed their results during the exact same timeframe. BUT EmberTribe also charged me $5,000 in agency fees, just about wiping out the entire profit of my own ad campaigns. When I approached them about the results, they “graciously” agreed to let me out of the final month of my contract, but when I asked if they’d be willing to refund any of the agency fees, I was politely declined. Essentially, they required me to take the risk for their lack of results. They made me $600, and took $5,000. As a fledgling business, it’s been tough trying to recover from that.

Ember Tribe killing it for DTC brand Ember Tribe was referred to me by a friend's tech company. They were highly recommended. Since I have been working with them I can see why. First off, they are very well organized, I never had an agency that was proactive in solving problems like they are. Ember Tribe is on top of it! I have a DTC brand and paid ads are a big part of our marketing plan so picking the right agency drives a huge part of our revenue. I already recommended them to other companies and would continue to do so. This agency made me realize my previous agency was subpar and I was paying more at the previous one. So far my experience with ET has been top notch and would highly recommend them.
