Good Location I have used this facility two different times. The most recent time, I only was supposed to use it for 6-9 months and then life happened and it was 3 years later! Staff is helpful. Location is good because there is little traffic in front of the loading bays, as well as enough parking in front if the bays are occupied. I liked having off-hours that I could go in the facility. Easy to pay with online portal and recurring payments.

OUT OF ALL STORAGE FACILITIES I HAVED USED, SELF STORAGE 1 WILL PRO-RATE YOUR FEES. SELF STORAGE 1 has been the only facility that I have used that will pro-rate your monthly fees for however long you have used the facility for storage. The representatives are very nice and always helpful in assisting you with your needs. I am disabled, and all the help counts. The facility also will take your packages for delivery for the customers. This is why I have always chosen and will continue to choose Self Storage 1 for the steel doored units, 10 feet ceilings, and the customer service. Thank you Self Storage 1!

Smooth and easy Smooth and easy In what could have been a chaotic and time consuming move of our stuff into storage, the folks at Self-Storage 1 Lincoln Park guided us in and out, made sure others were taking up two spaces to unload, and even cleaned up after we broke an item. Highly recommend!

Good price for the short term need that… Good price for the short term need that I had. Communication is opportunity for this place. I waited an hour because office representative was helping other client but no sign or so visible. Other issue was elevator malfunction. Received an email for day one, but then silence for next few days without message on website. I called and spoke with people outside of Chicago who weren’t knowledgeable about the issue, so I made the trip to the storage for no reason. Office lady in 2001 N. Easton was super helpful, knowledgeable and nice, big plus for the company!

My storage experience at Self Storage 1 was excellent! My storage experience at Self Storage 1 on Elston St. in Chicago was excellent! The unit and building were clean and easy to access. The elevators are a bit slow but are very convenient along with the available carts for loading and unloading. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Ciara was especially helpful with our move out. Thank you for everything and I would definitely recommend the Self Storage 1 on Elston in Chicago to friends, and I would use them again for any future storage needs.
