Security system has been down for months. so we’re paying for 24 hour security and getting none. former customer The manager, DEZ, at Cubesmart DT McKinney,TX is a 5 star in my view. The gate has had a lot of issues as of late, but I found that the rent increase was definitely outrageous. Started at $70 a month and ended at $292 a month. To me this is an outrageous increased amount. So that being said, I cleared out my climate control unit and I am currently sorting through the stored items in order to not have this kind of increase on a loyal customer again. I will use Cubesmart in the future but hope management takes the following into consideration. I think there should be contracts for those of us that will pay our bills and support your business.

(9/27/2023) Rented a storage unit at… (9/27/2023) Rented a storage unit at their Riverview, FL facility. During the finalization of completing the Agreement on-line, it turns out that they require you to purchase one of their locks for $19.99. The only way to not purchase the lock is to go into the local office and waste your time completing the Agreement and have them remove the Mandatory lock purchase. So, much for being convenient!

28% rate increase Rented multiple units, within 6 months the rent increased 28 percent on each unit. A small rate increase each year is one thing, but 28 percent after only six months is absurd. The building hasn't changed, utilities didn't rise, so the only reason the company is increasing rates is for pure GREED.
