GBGreat for what I needed Had a 10x15 for a few months no issues. While I was still charged for another month it was refunded. For me it was the location being the most accessible. If I ever need storage in the future I would certainly rent from them again.

GBRent went from $283 per month to $319… Rent went from $283 per month to $319 per month without me receiving any notice. They say a notification was sent in the mail, which I never received. When I called, they said, "The contract states they can increase my rent at any time." Everything else is by email. I wonder why they use mail instead of electronically notifying you.

GBWatch OUT! Extra Space Storage 11440 Blankenbaker Access Dr Louisville, KY 40299 Move in time - at that initial stage they have VERY nice customer service, VERY helpful office staff, decent folks. But WATCH OUT - rent raise, rent raise, rent raise, rent raise.... oh yeah, don't forget another rent raise! Every few (about three, I figure) months, they would rather rent to new folks at "Special Rate" and then STICK IT to folks that have been paying their bills (for months and counting on them for safe secure storage), who then mostly move out and down the road - after we're talking 30%, 40% - and for second attempt in three months - a 50% increase. They'll tell ya it's a "market driven" rent raise - REALLY? BS - I'm out first chance possible (and it's not easy, I get it), but their turnstile, unpredictable and lack of ANY appreciation for longevity/payment history business model is horrible for consumers. BEWARE - your RENT RAISE is coming VERY soon!

GBProspective renters beware New and prospective renters should be aware of two things about Extra Space Storage. First, they will give you a good deal for a couple of months and then make a huge increase in your monthly rent. Second, even if you tell them you will use your own padlock, they will leave one anyway. If you return it right away, they say they will give you a credit. But, being busy moving your items, if you ASSUME you will get a refund when you move out, you will be wrong. Their policy is to not give refunds or credits on your credit card. You will be stuck with a $20 padlock that you can buy at any hardware store for $10.

GBWe had a good experience at the Hessmer… We had a good experience at the Hessmer Ave., Metairie location. The facility is clean, safe and in a good location and well accommodates loading and unloading. Best of all, the front office people, Shannon and Xavier were very helpful and professional. We will use this facility again if we have storage needs.
