We had a good experience at the Hessmer… We had a good experience at the Hessmer Ave., Metairie location. The facility is clean, safe and in a good location and well accommodates loading and unloading. Best of all, the front office people, Shannon and Xavier were very helpful and professional. We will use this facility again if we have storage needs.

Business Model is a Scam Houston, Katy Fwy location. Agree that they bait you with special rates and double it next month! They called me in saying that there was a foul smell coming from my unit and when we went to check we had to cut the lock because for some reason my keys didn’t work and I had to buy a new lock for $20. Nothing was wrong with my unit other than the lock not working and there was NO SMELL. Very weird experience. Cannot understand why my keys did not work. I plan to move out soon.

The Extra Space Storage on Park Row Rd… The Extra Space Storage on Park Row Rd is the best. The staff is very nice and professional. They keep it very clean, it's quiet and safe and there are always charts available. I highly recommend this location, prices are good.

Watch OUT! Extra Space Storage 11440 Blankenbaker Access Dr Louisville, KY 40299 Move in time - at that initial stage they have VERY nice customer service, VERY helpful office staff, decent folks. But WATCH OUT - rent raise, rent raise, rent raise, rent raise.... oh yeah, don't forget another rent raise! Every few (about three, I figure) months, they would rather rent to new folks at "Special Rate" and then STICK IT to folks that have been paying their bills (for months and counting on them for safe secure storage), who then mostly move out and down the road - after we're talking 30%, 40% - and for second attempt in three months - a 50% increase. They'll tell ya it's a "market driven" rent raise - REALLY? BS - I'm out first chance possible (and it's not easy, I get it), but their turnstile, unpredictable and lack of ANY appreciation for longevity/payment history business model is horrible for consumers. BEWARE - your RENT RAISE is coming VERY soon!

Bait & Switch Like many others, just 4 months after moving into a unit they raised the monthly rental fees almost 50%. Nowhere does it state the price you agreed upon is temporary or limited time however it does not state your pricing is guaranteed for any certain term but raising almost 50% (in my case, $240 up to $340) per month is entrapment. The time, effort and resources needed to relocate would make most people accept it...basically extortion.
