GBEverything was going great, then silence… Everything was going great and according to plan until the person who is supposed to send updates on the arrival of my possessions in London went radio silent. It’s been four months since the movers picked up my stuff and I received one update about two months ago. Four emails requesting an update have gone unanswered. I understand that the war and covid are causing delays. But can’t they just write me????

GBFalse first impression First impression - great. The quote was quick and straightforward. But as soon as we signed the contract things have gone south. Absence of communication to begin with - they take time to email back and when they do, eventually, their - Trisha's - response pretty much says "we don't care". When you call for anything else but a quote you get a host of voice memos and end up in a voicemail. Delivery date after a storage period? Make sure you talk to the contractors ahead of time because IVL does not care. Extra services contracted via IVL - like moving a precious piano - we are still waiting for that to be completed....

GBSave yourself the stress and go elsewhere! I would give it zero if I could. After the initial winning of your business and taking your money, and then more money, this company is terrible. From the packing, to shipping, to release of the container it was all stress. Packers were late, did an awful job, and tried to cram all the work in one day so were there until almost midnight. Things arrived broken/trodden on and clothes were just stuffed into boxes rather than hung in special wardrobe containers. Fittings are missing. The size of the job was totally underestimated- I was promised the container would fit the car as well as the HHG - it didn't. They promised they would work with me for an alternative- they didn't. They specified 6-9 weeks shipping - it wasn't (the goods were at the yard for a month, packed in March, shipped in April and arrived in July. Total 16 weeks! On arrival at Southampton (from Washington state, via China and Holland) we were informed there was a problem and our HHG could not be released. No information was forthcoming - many phone calls/emails, all ignored. Apparently IVL had not paid a bill due to the shipper and our goods were held hostage - this was at our expense as we had to pay £244 storage due to their errors taking us over the 5 days demurrage allowed. From start to finish this was major stress and $000s more than initially quoted. Do not use these people - go to Mayflower - I wish I had.

GBStay away from this company I'd like to thank International Van Lines for absolutely the worst moving experience in my life. I moved from EU to California and from California to Texas before and I experienced some good relocation service. With International Van Lines I experienced delays, total lack of communication, incompetence, and absolutely not giving a **** about my stuff. It's been packed without any organization (like, garage stuff found in boxes marked as kitchen), no numbering, things like fragile pictures or my PC were just wrapped in a plastic wrap (!) and threw with the rest into the shipping container. Motorcycles, that were supposed to be strapped and secured, were lying down on the floor of the container. One motorcycle came with broken gear shifter. Many other things scratched, broken, or missing parts, we couldn't assemble our bed because frame was broken, the mattress torn and dirty and the screws all over the container. The local relocation company contractors that unloaded the container in Poland told me they have never seen such mess in 10 years of their careers.

GBTotal Con I used this company. On moving day they demanded 6000 more than their binding estimate. Since you have paid 25% upfront and it is no refundable, little choice, classic bait and switch. Once they got your money your calls go to voicemail. Burn you furnature in a non fire rather than use this company.
