GBDeceptive practices! They do not disclose they are a broker and use substandard companies that pick up their help off craigslist. The particular awful company they subbed out for my move destroyed everything! Additionally, law requires movers to offer full insurance and IVL did not (because they were subbing out the move). Bad company!!!

GBSave yourself the stress and go elsewhere! I would give it zero if I could. After the initial winning of your business and taking your money, and then more money, this company is terrible. From the packing, to shipping, to release of the container it was all stress. Packers were late, did an awful job, and tried to cram all the work in one day so were there until almost midnight. Things arrived broken/trodden on and clothes were just stuffed into boxes rather than hung in special wardrobe containers. Fittings are missing. The size of the job was totally underestimated- I was promised the container would fit the car as well as the HHG - it didn't. They promised they would work with me for an alternative- they didn't. They specified 6-9 weeks shipping - it wasn't (the goods were at the yard for a month, packed in March, shipped in April and arrived in July. Total 16 weeks! On arrival at Southampton (from Washington state, via China and Holland) we were informed there was a problem and our HHG could not be released. No information was forthcoming - many phone calls/emails, all ignored. Apparently IVL had not paid a bill due to the shipper and our goods were held hostage - this was at our expense as we had to pay £244 storage due to their errors taking us over the 5 days demurrage allowed. From start to finish this was major stress and $000s more than initially quoted. Do not use these people - go to Mayflower - I wish I had.

GBIVL: Loss, Damage and Theft I contracted with International Van Lines based on positive online reviews. I moved from PA to CA in March 2019. Their staff did over $2,000 worth of damage to my antique wood furniture, lost boxes of china, crystal, family heirlooms, and some old jewelry and silver went missing (even though the cases and stands these items were in arrived). After paying $15,000 for the move (much demanded in cash), my loss is estimated at $25,000. I was offered $500 if I signed their release form (which I refused to do), and am now said to be due around $100. The communication was terrible once I signed and sent the deposit, as was almost everything else. DO NOT USE INTERNATIONAL VAN LINES.

GBEverything was going great, then silence… Everything was going great and according to plan until the person who is supposed to send updates on the arrival of my possessions in London went radio silent. It’s been four months since the movers picked up my stuff and I received one update about two months ago. Four emails requesting an update have gone unanswered. I understand that the war and covid are causing delays. But can’t they just write me????

GBGhastly situation Ghastly situation. They require cash or postal money orders for the final payment and the driver did not give a receipt to my son. Yes, I know he should have asked, but it shouldn't be hard to get afterwards. They will not respond to my voice messages or emails. Without the final receipt I can't get reimbursed.
