We had made an appointment in advance with Bill. He could not have been more congenial or helpful. He was so knowledgeable of the products and helpful with installation ideas. Followed up with us the next day with a quote and additional ideas and support. Great experience. We have our project of "go" thanks for all his advisement.

First order First order, found an interesting piece of exotic lumber via their Instagram post. It was still available online. Company shipped it quickly and efficiently. Item arrived from CA to FL within 2 working days and it looks even better than the posted pictures. Can't wait to work with it and come back to order something else. Thanks, Advantage Lumber! Business during COVID Placed a simple $405 order, including roughly $170 expedited shipping, for IPE samples to be sent to my construction site. Several weeks later - - nothing. No materials, no response from email customer service. LONG waits on the phone trying to track the order. Customer service telling me they will "speak to a supervisor and call me back"...No return call. I will apparently need to contact my credit card, claim fraud and dispute the charge. Just the worst company - massive waste of time.. 12/7/2020 I was contacted twice soon after posting this review, which I really appreciate. The emails were apologetic, blunt and honest. Apparently this company has been especially hard hit by COVID and shortages, both labor and lumber. I've been offered help and will update as this progresses. I'm under the gun on an expensive project and am hopeful.

Hats off, Attaboy, Cheers Bill Cummings at Advantage Lumber worked with me to select an awesome piece of tigerwood for a project for my granddaughter. Bill coordinated with Chico at the Buffalo Mill and hand picked a beautiful select piece of tigerwood for my needs. Bill and Chico even sent a photo of the piece and I can't wait to start working on it. Good and Bad - BLACK ipe Good and Bad. We had a large shipment and everything went great with zero waste or issues. The next order to finish the project was about half the size and maybe 25% was unusable mainly due to color as IPE was BLACK, and way outside the normal variation we typically see and way outside color of other 90% of the job. Totally understand it is a natural product, not our first project over last 20 years of construction! They are not helping , so having to order some wood to finish from somewhere else. Seal and Heidi Klum looked beautiful together, but Black wood next to light not so pretty.
