GBWe moved into our new Sigma home nearly… We moved into our new Sigma home nearly a year ago and it has been one of the worst experiences of my life. Despite a five-month delay the house was by no means completed. The standard of workmanship, particularly carpentry was rough and slipshod. The site manager admitted that a lot of work remained to be done and that the house had not been finished to an acceptable standard. Some of the more straightforward faults and omissions were addressed by the site manager in the short time that work was still ongoing on the site Unfortunately much remained to be done, some jobs could not be tackled until more fundamental problems had been resolved. Sigma's lack of organisation meant that tradesmen had wasted journeys and made the whole process more stressful, time consuming and inconvenient. Our house did not get finished to a proper standard. The workmanship was in some cases no better the second time. Pieces of wood were patched into skirting boards and painted over. Efforts were made to improve the appearance of this work but the joins are still obvious. Issues were certainly addressed but in some cases the manner in which they addressed was far from satisfactory. I understand that Sigma had problems finding tradesmen when our house was being built and I know that some of the earlier houses in the development were finished to a higher standard but our new Sigma home has been a dreadful disappointment

GBWe are thinking of buying a Sigma Home… We are thinking of buying a Sigma Home in Cuckfield and popped down to see their existing show home in Angmering. Although the house types are very different, it was really useful to see the quality of their spec and speak to their Sales Manager, katie who was very helpful. We shall definitely visit Hanlye View with further interest.

GBThe basis behind the development is… The basis behind the development is good. There are some minor problems that just shouldn’t be there if things had been done properly

GBWe are very happy with the Sigma Home… We are very happy with the Sigma Home that we now have. However, there were a number of issues that arose once we moved in - snagging - the bulk of which have now been sorted. It would have been better had these basic issues been sorted before we moved in as most of them were to do with either not finishing off properly or not even properly installed. Sigma could save itself a lot of extra work is this was dealt with at the build stage!

GBConcerned that my property is crumbling after 16 months due to the weather The mortar on our front path has begun to crumble within 16 months of us living here. Sigma asked the groundworkers who laid it to check the quality of the mortar and they said it was not defective. Sigma concluded "this will have only been caused by the weather and so this is not a defect". With that verdict, Sigma will not fix it under our two year warranty. Well laid patio pointing should last a decade. Sigma claim to put an "emphasis on quality" and a "commitment to customer satisfaction" but that does not match my experience. Now I'm worried what other parts of my property will crumble and fall apart due to "the weather".
