Do not use via web based orders So the online web system looks like it checks stock in your local branch but it doesn’t. Yet they still take your money up front. Issues then arose in trying to find the equipment to supply my order but only after I rang up as I hadn’t received a confirmation email. Chap in store did his best to help me but the company’s poor IT system had let him down from the beginning. In this day and age when so much is done online it really should be better. Will never use again and do not recommend.

It arrived almost in the afternoon, went to go and use it and no tines fitted. Impossible to get hold of someone to sort out, when they finally answered the phone was told it came from Exeter branch not the Wellington one I hired it from, and they unfortunately don’t know where the bits are to make the machine work. Also said they would call me back within twenty minutes with an update, still nothing.

NEARLY A GOOD EXPERIENCE The Staff were excellent, machine deliverd on time and it did everything it was supposed to do very well. It was collected promptly, then the Hirebse experience went down hill Eight days later and I'm still waiting for my deposit to be returned despite visiting the local branch where I was told the money was 'in transit' . I should have asked where to as it has yet to turn up in my account! It only took a few seconds for it to leave so there is something very suspicious going on at Hirebase! Which is a shame as the branch staff worked so hard to make the hire experience a good one.

Phoned the branch "oh yeah don't worry you don't need that, we have your order". Went to collect on the Saturday & no staff on the hire desk. The 3 employees from the build side couldn't do anything. Took over an hour to get it sorted. On return there were "system issues" which meant after 45 minutes they couldn't return my deposit. "We'll get it sorted and call you" I was assured. I've been chasing them for 3 days and still haven't had my deposit returned.

Ripped off and upset Scaffold tower did not arrive after being booked and paid for online. The depot said “nobody told us”. On the revised delivery date the tower was delivered with minor damage which they later claimed I had done and refused to repay me the £400 deposit, even though the hire desk manager had personally unloaded the damaged parts with me. They were unresponsive to my protests. I feel abused.
