GBRipped off and upset Scaffold tower did not arrive after being booked and paid for online. The depot said “nobody told us”. On the revised delivery date the tower was delivered with minor damage which they later claimed I had done and refused to repay me the £400 deposit, even though the hire desk manager had personally unloaded the damaged parts with me. They were unresponsive to my protests. I feel abused.

GBHired a plate compactor online Hired a plate compactor online. At completion it said I would receive an email for confirmation. No email. Phoned the branch "oh yeah don't worry you don't need that, we have your order". Went to collect on the Saturday & no staff on the hire desk. The 3 employees from the build side couldn't do anything. Took over an hour to get it sorted. On return there were "system issues" which meant after 45 minutes they couldn't return my deposit. "We'll get it sorted and call you" I was assured. I've been chasing them for 3 days and still haven't had my deposit returned.

GBGo elsewhere, prices not as advertised. Don't believe the advertised prices. Hired a scarifier for a day for £49 as shown on the website. It ended up being £70 when they added vat and a compulsory damage waiver

GBV.Poor - dont answer phone and website poor Milton Keynes depot - can't be bothered to answer the phone and website won't process my visa credit card - overall waste of time considering this lot

GBMixed experience with hiring a mini… Mixed experience with hiring a mini digger from Swindon Hirebase. Initially the web system seems good, but as per others experience there seems to be a disconnect with the local office who did not respond to the web order with any confirmation, but had taken a £600 deposit none the less. Had to ring several times to get the drop off confirmed. Delivery and pickup were on time and no issues. Lastly I did not receive any invoice after the hire despite email and phone calls, meaning that my deposit was not returned. If I had not followed up would my deposit have been returned? After chasing up finally got invoice and deposit returned. Overall a lot of hassle despite the equipment being good value to rent. Not sure I would use again unless really stuck.
