GBMany Mistakes, Great User Interface Pros: I really like Kaplan's User Interface and the mix of quizzes, classes, and reading. I think the online classes led by Martin Stoynov are very helpful. I also appreciate the ability to email an instructor with questions. Cons: There are many, many errors in both the books and the quizzes. I have only submitted about 25% of these errors through the online "report an error" tool, and it worries me that there haven't been any user notices for the other errors I've noticed. I am not confident that the Kaplan curriculum is sufficiently mirroring the FRM official curriculum, based on the fact that the classes are 3 years old, and a number of the errors I have identified relate to the fact that an outdated curriculum was being cited or used. The instructors, apart from Martin, are ineffective and do not enhance my understanding of the material. We only go through calculator instructions in Martin's recorded class: Kaplan has not provided any calculator instructions for key FRM learning needs like bond pricing.

GBAccurate and Incredibly Useful for CFA level I I feel like the concise modules and questions were really impactful in getting me prepared for the exam, and gave me great feedback on questions I got wrong. The tools available were very user-friendly and easily accessible. The only critique I have is that I couldn't change my exam date or planned preparation date in the system, but that didn't impact me too much. I will be using Kaplan again as I prepare for the CFA level II, and highly recommend their services over the

MKGood experience I used only Kaplan for the questions, and I really liked how you can customize quizzes on your own. I think that the concept with videos is good, but I didn’t use them as I find it hard to follow.

DOThe support needed The study plan really is the cornerstone of getting through all the material in an organized manner and on your own. Kaplan provides the tools needed to learn and apply the concepts in order to successfully obtain the charter, but there's one thing they can't provide, the discipline required to get through it all, that is sold separately.
