GBHigh quality books and great value subscription I have been buying books by Apress for many years now and the quality of the books is generally very good. I have subscribed to Apress Access for the past year which offers excellent value. My only criticism of this service is that it would be better if there was a dedicated reader provided as an app rather than it simply providing books in PDF or EPUB format. The website is ok but can be slow at times and the browsing and searching could be better but it does the job. Overall: good quality books and a subscription that is excellent value. Website could be better, hence the loss of a star.

GBA press has a broad library and a team… A press has a broad library and a team of author practitioners. Many books are published soon after a technology gets some mindshare. At $99 a year, the subscription is an EXCELLENT VALUE!

GBPretty Good Site and Products, but Could be Better Pretty Good Site and Products, but Could be Better. For the most part, I'm fairly happy with Apress! They have pretty good coverage for most of the tech topics I'm interested in, and even a couple of authors whose books I buy as a given, every year. I would love to see some deep dives into topics like real-word redux, and full-stack JavaScript and DevOps projects with non-trivial examples that are not just regurgitations of online documentation.

GBA Trustworthy and Professional Company Some of the books were print-on-demand, so I expected a slower than average delivery. This was not the case though, Apress's turnaround time is amazing. Their selection of Common Lisp books is unmatched, great company.

GBConvenient Easy to use, and it was good to be able to download the various ebook formats in one place. I wish though there wasn't a time limit (due to various device issues, accidents, etc) on retrieving the books if you have paid for them, but I have no good or neat recommendation for handling this situation.
