GBLong term customer of books about software I've been a customer of Apress for many years. The transactions can be easily completed using the web site. I usually like to look through the Table of Contents of a book and, if possible, read about 10 pages of the book to get a feel of whether the book topic interests me and if I like the author's writing style. Over the years, Apress has made this more difficult. In particular, I compare this to the Manning site - which I find to be even more helpful. I still buy an occasional book at Apress and I am generally satisfied with those purchases.

CAThe TYPO3 Guidebook is excellent and… The TYPO3 Guidebook is excellent and the purchase took seconds. I've read many TYPO3 books over 15 years and that's the one giving the best overview of the product. It goes from general capacities up to install a beginning development and do it in a logical progression. Kudos.

GBHigh quality books and great value subscription I have been buying books by Apress for many years now and the quality of the books is generally very good. I have subscribed to Apress Access for the past year which offers excellent value. My only criticism of this service is that it would be better if there was a dedicated reader provided as an app rather than it simply providing books in PDF or EPUB format. The website is ok but can be slow at times and the browsing and searching could be better but it does the job. Overall: good quality books and a subscription that is excellent value. Website could be better, hence the loss of a star.

GBA press has a broad library and a team… A press has a broad library and a team of author practitioners. Many books are published soon after a technology gets some mindshare. At $99 a year, the subscription is an EXCELLENT VALUE!
