I started the course as a teacher and soon after landed my first job as an instructional designer! The support from Dr. Robin Sargent, the mentors, and the rest of the community is unmatched! This course differs from others like it in that it you work at your own pace, and you have lifetime access! It has every topic you could need, taught by a plethora of fantastic experts, from optimizing your Linkedin profile and resume to creating a portfolio, working as a freelancer, and everything in between.

An excellent start... IDOL Courses is a great place to begin if you're thinking about transitioning to Instructional Design. Everything you need to get started is right there at your fingertips, AND you have lifetime access to it. It has been such a rewarding experience. I have learned so much, and I feel very ready to apply to jobs and move into the next phase of my career.

Best decision I've made This is the best decision I made for myself, my family, and my career. I knew I wanted to move into Instructional Design, but I needed direction and help. The access to coaches and mentors and material is not only easy to follow but applicable to the real world of ID and is what was so invaluable. The networking I've been able to do over the past 8 weeks, the portfolio I've created, and the confidence I've gained will only allow me to keep working towards my goals, and I've no doubt I'll reach them.

This is what I needed This is what I needed, the way I need it. Organized but not rigid; friendly and empathetic, while all about realistic business results. Some of the training is very formal and demanding, and some is social and fun...in two weeks, I've moved past the "overwhelming" phase and am able to make judgments about what to learn next.

This program is so engaging. I began this course last year, and I love it. The experience continues to push me to learn and grow. It has taught me so much. I am completing a doctorate in Instructional design, allowing me to demonstrate so many skills I would not have known. I can show my expertise through understanding and using the tools needed to freelance. I love that I can join the cohort as many times as I want with the available community to all members.
