A simple solution to a complex problem I've only tried the first generation of hardware. This is a neat solution that is "all in one" if you already have your own computers and screens and are only looking to add a great webcam, a mic and possibly speakers. The 360 view is the killer feature. Just plant it on the middle of the table and that's it. No need to rotate laptops, play with flakly remote-controlled camera controls. It just works. The intelligent cropping works flawlessly. The microphone and speaker in the first generation isn't great. I've heard they've improved that in the second generation.

Zero technical support -- unacceptable I bought a Meeting Own 3 about two weeks ago, but can never get the desktop (Windows) installed without crashing my system. Like what other people commented, my attempts to reach out to Owl Labs via email and phone got zero response. I have never experienced anything like this before and have lost confidence in the product and company. I was planning to return the product to get a refund, if only someone from Owl Labs could reply to my inquiries. I'm now forced to dispute the change via my credit card company. 9/2/2022 update: I finally got a response from technical support after more than a week and was promised a refund. So I withdrew my billing dispute with the credit card company. BUT the refund never came after more than two weeks, despite being told that the refund has been processed. So, I had to reinstate my dispute. This has been such a disappointing experience, a failure of the company on all fronts.

Our Meeting Owls Our Meeting Owls, named Fred and Barney, have saved so much on driving and other travel expenses. We can collaborate and work iff we are all together despite our physical distance. This has helped al ofl our departments be more productive and cohesive as a whole. It has been a worthwhile investment!

Sound lag/first few words sound underwater I am a Washington State Court Certified Spanish interpreter. Snohomish County District Courts have been using the owl in their courtrooms for hearings. The sound quality is so-so at best. There is a lag and the first couple of words sound under water and then the rest of the speech sounds normal. This happens with every speaker in the courtroom but not with the other Zoom participants who are not in the courtroom. Because of the lag, if another speaker begins before the audio comes through from the last speaker then you can't hear anything. One of the judges stated that I had a bad internet connection. However, I don't have this issue with other courtrooms and providers that don't use the owl. Also, other Zoom participants have stated to the judges that the sound from the courtroom is choppy. This is very frustrating since I am legally bound to interpret everything that is said to assure due process. I have given feedback to the interpreter coordinator and court clerks. I don't know if the courts bought the wrong size Owl or what is causing the issue. Please advise. Thank you.

Wish we bought this sooner We've always had a few people working remotely. At every company meeting, or large gathering it always felt to them that they weren't fully part of that experience. Our Owl immediately changed that. The audio quality improved 10x from our external mic, and having the ability to see everyone made a huge impact to everyone involved. The same can be said for our regular zoom meetings with partners and customers. They really enjoy being able to see everyone. Highly recommend adding this to your stack. Super easy to set up and get started.
