Sound lag/first few words sound underwater I am a Washington State Court Certified Spanish interpreter. Snohomish County District Courts have been using the owl in their courtrooms for hearings. The sound quality is so-so at best. There is a lag and the first couple of words sound under water and then the rest of the speech sounds normal. This happens with every speaker in the courtroom but not with the other Zoom participants who are not in the courtroom. Because of the lag, if another speaker begins before the audio comes through from the last speaker then you can't hear anything. One of the judges stated that I had a bad internet connection. However, I don't have this issue with other courtrooms and providers that don't use the owl. Also, other Zoom participants have stated to the judges that the sound from the courtroom is choppy. This is very frustrating since I am legally bound to interpret everything that is said to assure due process. I have given feedback to the interpreter coordinator and court clerks. I don't know if the courts bought the wrong size Owl or what is causing the issue. Please advise. Thank you.

Wireless camera pairing feature is a gamechanger. We purchased our first Owl Professional on March 2020. It died after the first month; Owl Lab's replaced it promptly. It is now October and we purchased four more units. A single unit works well for small to medium rooms. With physical distancing, the rooms cannot house as many people as they used to. For meetings involving 10 or more people with 6' physical distancing made the microphones a little weak. Then, Owl released firmware that allows unwired (WiFi direct) pairing of two cameras. This is a game changer for this system. One unit covers small to medium rooms; two units paired can now cover medium-large meeting rooms.

OWL has an excellent product that has allowed us to stay connected with each other seamlessly and effortlessly. The video and sound quality are exceptional and the performance is second to none! Just plain awesome all around. Our office went through dozens of microphone and camera options and all were pretty awful. We even tried studio rated microphones and expensive cameras and none of them were what you would call good especially for a tech company. We unpacked the owl and called a bunch of our remote employees and every one of their first responses was "WOW! This is way better than anything else you have tried we should get more of these". Would recommend everyone get one.

Our company needed a simple solution… Our company needed a simple solution for video conferencing during company meetings, especially for our weekly all-hands. Our Meeting Owl allows for remote employees to clearly see and hear in a group setting. We no longer need to worry about passing a mic or adjusting a camera each time someone new speaks. Sound quality is great, and no one needs to yell to be heard even in a larger room. Packaging is great and setup is very simple. Only downside is the price, but having a 3-in-1 mic, speaker, and camera means we didn’t have to waste time researching and ordering three separate products and learning how to set each up.
