GBAvoid like a plague! This company does not even deserve a 1 star! I placed an order (#000438710) for a christmas present (Nat Geo Telescope) on 12 December 2020 which was listed as 'in stock', however I have yet to recieve this! On 25 January 2021, I recieved a text message stating my order was at their warehouse and had been dispatched and again still no order! This really is disgraceful service. I have written to Maplin several times by email to enquiry where my order is and not once has anyone bothered to respond to my queries. I have also submitted several online 'contact us' forms from your website, again which now one has acknowledged. Avoid like the plague!!!

GBA very poor and unprofessional company A very poor and unprofessional company. I ordered two items from Maplin. They send a dispatch confirmation email for both items that will be sent together. Only ONE item was delivered and it was significantly damaged and suspiciously looks like a returned item from a previous customer since the seals on the box were broken. The other item was not even included even though the email says it was. I wrote countless emails to Maplin and completed their online Contact Us forms. Absolutely zero responses. Eventually, I write a review on Trustpilot and surprisingly within minutes they respond apologising for my experience and that they assured me the item delivered was not second hand. I was told I would be contacted by their team... but again further waiting for absolutely nothing but false promises. They use Trustpilot to publicly respond to negative reviews so as to assure other viewing customers not to worry. It's a big scandal. I am now going to my bank to claim the refund since Maplin have failed to take responsibility for their incompetence.

GBDon’t waste your time or money I ordered some 4lite wiz GU10 bulbs at what seemed a bargain price in 2 separate batches. Although some of the bulbs worked as expected others either didn’t work at all or wouldn’t pair. In addition the bulbs in on batch were a very different shape to the others. Customer service is lamentable with no reply to any of my emails and no contact phone number. Yes if it’s too good to be true it really is too good to be true.

GBWould be missed if it went. Would be missed if it went. I say that as I like the shop and buy from there often. Sadly they have little competition in the way of electrical gadget/radio equipment/cctv competing stores so they charge high prices and dont always know about each product but as I said it would be sad to see them go.

To other reviewers, remember Maplin closed down a couple of years back. This is a completely new company."
