ANTIQUATED CAMERA TECHNOLOGY... BUYERS BEWARE! Recently purchase the Sionyx Night Vision camera on my new offshore boat and had it connected to my Garmin 8612xsv screens. When I turned on the camera and viewed through the Garmin screens, the view was blurry. I thought something must be wrong. I contacted Sionyx tech support and the response was: "...this looks like a normal Nightwave with a limitation from the Garmin display," Sionyx Night Vision camera resolution: 480p analog -vs- Garmin 8612sxv resolution: 1920x1080p digital This is not a limitation of the Garmin screens, Its the Sionyx Night Vision camera. I read many reviews, watched many YouTube channels discussion on the camera only to discover the true story and limitation of the this camera is not being told. I'm not a display guru but after spending upwards of $2,700 dollars for the camera and the install, very disappointed customer!!! If you are attempting to plug this camera into any modern digital display 12 inches or greater on your boat you're going to be very upset with the results. STAY CLEAR OF THIS ANALOG ANTQUATED PRODUCT!

Setting it up I see it only seems to… Setting it up I see it only seems to work for left eye set up , wondering if one can get the arm bracket for right eye set up. Unless it’s the hielmut hinge quality preventing me from rotating coupler to accommodate right eye set up ? Thanks from a newbie

The Sionyx Nightwave camera is a MUST HAVE! The Sionyx Nightwave camera is an absolute game-changer! The picture comes in crisp with low-to-no light while running offshore or through the intracoastal. Connecting the camera to my phone is a breeze- I'm looking forward to permanently installing the unit on my boat. You truly can't beat the quality of this product at this price point.

Nightwave is the real deal!! Seeing is believing (pun intended) & their new Nightwave marine cam is the real deal. Was pretty blown away with how much detail it was picking up in tight quarters when docking. Around the docks in the marina, rocks when lobstering around the jetties, or navigating home offshore at night - the Nightwave makes life easier. I’m a huge fan of redundancies & tech that makes fishing/boating safer and that’s what this product does. And at a much much more affordable cost than other competitors. Big fan!

APP SUCKS Your app to use with the Aurora is so bad it's completely useless. I've downloaded it over and over again, and tried everything to fix issues. I'm not the only person with these experiences with it freezing crashing or never connecting to the camera to begin with according to online forums these problems are quite common dating ba k over a year. Its clear Sionyx has no intent of improving there software. It's 2022 this isn't acceptable if you want to use "military quality" as an advertising slogan with your cameras. I won't be recommending your products.
