Nixplay screws existing customers The recent decision to limit linking to Google photos is an insult to existing customers. I purchased the frame for the ability to link! Changing policy mid-stream is bad business. I will now recommend aura frames to friends and family and tell them to avoid nixplay.

Nixplay frames orientation problem On the reporting of either CNet or Wired, I don't remember which, I purchased 4 of their frames for myself and family members. The most recent purchase, in my home, displays correctly. However, the orientations of the photos in the other 3 sometimes show correctly (landscape/portrait) and sometimes not. I've been going crazy going on the website, trying to adjust these. No more phone tech support, as previous. However, the tech support person that I was chatting with finally mentioned something that may illuminate the problem, but makes no sense. She said that some of the frames have portrait orientations and some have landscape orientations. My latest one has both. This is ridiculous. You don't take pictures with the type of frame in mind. It should be a software issue, not a hardware issue. I also don't recall seeing this information in the descriptions of the frames. Don't buy these unless you buy one of the most recent frames. The others are only about a year old and problematic.

The product is amazing and we never had… The product is amazing and we never had any issue since we bought but suddenly when there was issue and product was out of warrantee I was worried that it will cost us the product failure price. I got in touch with CS team at Nixplay and their team member (Par and Mary) were able to sort out and resolve the issue within short span. I must say I have not seen this level of support with any other brand.

I received the Nixplay as a Christmas… I received the Nixplay as a Christmas gift from my daughter. Hours just to figure out how to connect. Documentation provided goes into detail about the physical attributes of the device. Now to upload a picture from my computer. NO DOCUMENTATION provided. Seems this product is geared towards the Iphone crowd, google or other social media. Nothing on how to get pictures from my Windows based computer to the NIXPLAY. Try to ask a question and get a simple answer. Forget it. This product is not oriented towards us remaining PC based crowd. Sorry, I ever undertook trying to upload pictures.

A monthly subscription to use a photo frame I bought my frame a couple of years ago having read good reviews on various websites. I was particularly attracted to its ability to link to Google photos and update playlists dynamically. In May 2023 the ironically named Nick Palfreeman at Nixplay wrote to advise that I will need to pay a monthly fee for the rest of my life in order to continue using this feature. Needless to say, Nick is no pal of mine and he won't be getting a penny from me. Bought a Google Hub Max instead. Goodbye Nixplay.
