Exactly what we were looking for We purchased a Pinwheel phone for our son last summer, and it has been an amazing experience. I've been able to easily customize settings for my son using the app. On two occasions I wasn't sure how to proceed, but the live chat on the website was able to assist me promptly and provide me with the information I needed. We have his phone set to only receive texts/calls from approved numbers and it has worked perfectly. Furthermore, approving new contacts is super fast and easy on the parent app (as is revoking them if they're no longer needed). A+

We've had a great experience with… We've had a great experience with Pinwheel. Sure there are hiccups or glitches, but support has come through every time with answers or elevated cases to help the backend of the system work better. The system does what we expected - help us talk more about technology as a family to set up healthy habits and gain wisdom about the pitfalls of technology. It's great to start younger tech users out with this type of platform because when they are older, they are more aware and can understand parenting choices and the world around them.

A unique purchasing situation... I had a unique purchasing request that couldn't be processed through their website. Pinwheel support was able to do everything through their live chat. Instructions were clear and concise. Any hurdles were easily overcome. The agent was polite and helpful. Made for a swift purchase.

Pinwheel has been amazing When looking for a phone for my son, Pinwheel came up in my search. I was a bit skeptical because I had never heard of this company but, after having this phone for 5 months now, I have only had a good experience. Customer service is 100% amazing too. If you have a question about anything, there is always someone there to help. I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend them to anyone looking for a monitored phone for their child.

Read - Do not recommend Pinwheel company - will not honor fixing phone even if manufacturing/programming issue We REALLY wanted to like the pinwheel phone. The concept was exactly what we were looking for and our daughter was excited to be able to call and text friends. However, the phones sold by pinwheel (which are samsung phones) do not work long term. My daughter used the phone minimally for 3 months and then phone quit working. We took it to Samsung store, private phone repair shops and all told us the same thing - it was a programming issue with the phone that only Samsung could repair. Sansung agreed to cover the phone 100% since still new and programming issue on their end. But, pinwheel would not honor that. Pinwheel's customer service is horrible and they said we would just have to buy a new phone. Samsung still sent us a new phone, but not a pinwheel programmed one and without all the protections in a pinwheel. I've talked to many other parents and people have had similar bad experiences. Unless you just want to be out the money, I do not recommend purchasing from this company. Our issue was a phone manufacturing issue and Samsung would honor that, but pinwheel would not and said we just have to start over.
