Fonus is the BEST They sent me a new SIM card a few months ago and service is FANTASTIC. Unlimited data is perfect and calls are clear and never drop. Customer service is instant at any time of day or night. Setup was not too complicated at all. I am very satisfied and this has to be the best deal anywhere.

Banks) refuse to text authorization codes to VOIP numbers. This is the biggest downside for me. - The 'new' App lacks support for multi-party chats. You can send to multiple people, but then each reply and conversation is point to point - the 'automatic' switching of carriers is hit and miss when traveling between Canada and the U.S.

Three Month Review/Fair Use Policy I've been with Fonus for three months and couldn't be happier. Not one dropped call nor missing/failed texts, not saying that it can't happen, but that has happened with the "Big Telcos" multiple times. Customer service has always been fantastic and I helpful too. However, what surprises me is that people get upset when they get shut off for violating "Fair Use Policies" (FUP), as this is a common sense policy. Even the "Big Telcos" have FUP and they enforce them too and are necessary to keep networks stabile and not slowed down by excessive use by users. Fonus has multiple contracts worldwide with various network providers and must adhere to to the FUP of each network provider, every provider has different limits. No cellphone provider allows anyone to use their mobile connection as a "home/primary internet connection. Fonus has generous plans and on top of those offerings, they include global service. Instead of blaming companies for enforcing their policies, people should exercise due diligence and read the small print as they would or should with any service or purchase.

Subscription plan: World Unlimited Starter (with eSIM) Good chat based customer service (thanks Sophie) helped out on sign up mix up (esim vs. sim). e-sim works as expected with Pixel 6a. No complaints to date.

Canada/U.S. Cell Phone Service So far the transformation from a Canadian provider for service in Canada only to Fonus that gives us phone coverage in Canada and the U.S. (plus other countries) has been tremendous. No issues with phoning anywhere, texting anywhere or using data to search for things in the internet. To top it all if, the monthly rates are fantastic. There were some small glitches at the beginning but that’s been ironed out. Right now Fonus is my Cell Phone Service provider of choice.
