GBStay away from this unprofessional company An absolute disgrace of a company. No way for you to talk to anyone with authority no matter how many times you call / email / chat. They say their porting department is "offline". All you can talk to is reps in India who can't do anything except apologize and "open tickets" that stay open forever and don't go anywhere. They have wasted my time for 23 days trying to do a simple number porting from Verizon. Super frustrating. Don't waste your time with Vonage please.

GBBEWARE OF BAD REFUND POLICY BEWARE OF BAD REFUND POLICY: I have been a long-time Vonage customer. I prepaided 12-months in advance. I have cancelled Vonage three months into this 12-month period and they will NOT PRORATE a refund for the remaining 9-months of unused service. UPDATE: After working my way up the supervisor ladder on five calls over three days they gave me a refund for 8 of the 9 months I am not using this service. If I hadn’t pushed (and posted this message) I probably wouldn’t have received a refund at all. They need to change their policy but I added a star because they did give me a partial refund.

GBUpdated from Two Stars Previous Review Below: The reason that I thought the International Line had not been cancelled was because of the 43% tax (!) on a single line, including a tax for Intellectual Property! What IP is involved in making a phone call, curious minds would like to know. Because of this ludicrous tax, I would give Vonage three stars. I cannot think of a single item I've ever had nearly a 50% tax on the purchase. Upped to Four Stars due to today's positive experience with Customer Service Agent Suresh who suggested a more practical plan for me. ***** I have two Vonage #s, a domestic one and an international one. A month or so go, after quite a big rigamorole, I finally managed to contact someone in an Indian (?) call center, who asked me some relevant questions and apparently went through some procedures on his end. He assured me that the international line had been cancelled. This month, I got my credit card for the same amount, and checked my Vonage account, and the Internation line was still there. I will try to retrace my steps and see if I have better luck this time.

GBLIFE IS PEACEFUL AGAIN.. Some years ago my 2012 era, I was in gradschool. We then had Comcast. We at some point changed for Vonage for phone service, then. It is important to the story because the little woman has never been happy with any other phone/LD carrier since Vonage/1st time. OK technically because I was doing the satellite thing a number of years. We recently had an opportunity to get Xfinity/Comcast. Joyous ! We could finally get her back her precious Vonage, 2nd/time through. Vonage I found has expanded into business telephone. Fortunately for us Vonage for Home is still 'Rockin' Steady. I no longer have to hear complaints about them other guys. Halleluia !!! LIFE IS PEACEFUL AGAIN...

GBI will try to be honest I will try to be honest, helpful and constructive, following "critical constructive" theory. But it's difficult, because Vonage services are unnoticeable; they work so well that you don't even notice they exist. How can you criticize something you don't notice? What to recommend being constructive for a service that is so smooth, you don't know it exists? I'm sorry, but is perfect still perfectible?
