If you have the resources to dedicate to it, it could be really good. The system is pretty complex and if you don't have someone dedicated within your company to manage it, then it will fall by the wayside. But using it from a user perspective is pretty intuitive if you are fairly tech savvy. Some of the older folks have a difficult time using the system. It seems to be set up better as a ticketing system for troubleshooting/technology issues. We use it for creative projects and it seems a bit limiting in that regard. The proofing could be better for more interactive prototyping. Overall, the system works for what we need to at a surface level, we just do not have the dedicated resources to use it properly, therefore we do not feel like the expense is worth it for what we are getting out of it.

Recommend for Marketing team All of our Marketing teams are using Workfront so that we have a 360 view and collaboration across our departments. Everyone can monitor projects in real-time and track progress - from requests through to delivery. (e.g. POS) We have been using it since 2014, so we now have an archive of projects that we refer to daily!

Love Workfront for waterfall, proofing & Intake - Agile needs work For the most part, Workfront is pretty easy to use. It works well for waterfall projects. Customization is highly flexible (almost TOO customizable)! The reason I gave it 3 stars vs higher marks is due to the limited agile functionality. We are having trouble adapting teams who are used to JIRA to now use Workfront. It's a constant challenge as JIRA users want some of the same function in WF and it's just not there yet. Overall though, Workfront has aided our move from a manual proofing process (sending big PDFs through email) and has helped streamline our intake greatly. Their support & help services are stellar. Lots of training available--be ready to become an SME if you adopt!

UI is a struggle for new users UI is a struggle for new users. The tool is designed for project managers, people who understand or who have had formal training in project management. The deal is, the majority of users aren't. They need a simplified version way to manage work, build out timelines, quickly update add remove tasks without have to thing about predecessors or task dependencies, etc.

Workfront is one of the best Project… Workfront is one of the best Project Management tools I've used! Why is is it the best? Many reasons - with some simple knowledge just about any user can start to build out their portfolio/projects to quickly wround up all needed users to perform the needed tasks. All while having the tool monitoring the life cycle of the project and keeping all involved uptodate on its status/progress. The simple abilities needed to create custom reports needed based on the needs of the audience(s). So many reasons including the Workfront staff and community, its a widely adapted application and with that large user base, its great to virtually meet these users online to learn and share!
