Not free They still charge you to file State Tax so it’s not free. Choose a new business name.

I used the site for years but be… I used the site for years but be careful if you relocate, the site becomes more complicated to use. They will save your previous state and you must delete it BEFORE filing or you will be charged for the filing of BOTH states (your new and old one) and no you can't delete it through an amendment. Who knows could cost a huge refund from your new state, i think its wrong that they refused to refund me, I think this is my last year using the site.

WARNING! Hard to FIle Free State Return WARNING!! If you want to file the FREE STATE TAX you have to start out on the State website and use their link to the FreeTaxUSA website. Otherwise you have to pay for the state return. SO stupid. Once we did that is made us go through the whole process AGAIN with the fed return and then because we had already efiled that the only way to get the free State return was submit it FOR MAIL IN!! I was so angry. My grandaughter only has a part time job - it should not be this hard to file her taxes.

NOT FREE Saw on the state website they were free so I went to their website. NOT FREE. You have to have come from the state website or it’s $14.99 even though it says FREE on the state website

Only Federal is Free No where was it stated that at "free" tax USA you could only file federal for free and if you need to file your state you either have to pay them or choose a different service. Now that I've already filed my federal taxes with them I have to either file my taxes AGAIN with a different company OR pay them to allow me to file my state taxes through them. Predatory business practices. Should be illegal.
