GBBest Free Online service you can use As a 10 plus year member there is no better free genealogy research site out there. You can also be a part of their online indexing service. I have found a few family members in my few years of indexing. because there are so many people helping with the indexing familysearch.org remains free to all and in some cases there are source papers added to the family members. There is an old saying "Try it you'll like it". Have fun researching

GBFamily Search for couple of years now I have been using Family Search for a couple of years and love it. The site is well organized and easy to navigated. Visually this site makes sense to me. They are prompt in answering written questions. And either connect or let the user connect to information to build family trees. They also provide some of the best tutorials and supporting genealogy information!

GBSave yourself hours of frustration Save yourself hours of frustration ! I know this is a nonprofit free site but your time and your sanity are certainly worth considering before you fumble around this site. Hours of work and poof gone with no clue as what caused it.

GBI started using family search c.2006… I started using family search c.2006 and always found what I was searching for. But in the last few years some changes must have been made to it because finding what I have typed into the search boxes has become an infuriating task. I put in the terms, e.g William Cato - but get William Edward Cato or Frederick Cato....anyone but the person I'm looking for and always outside or inside of the date I've specified. It's a really frustrating experience now whereas before it was simple and I always found what and who I was looking for. Which ever techs ruined this site should be fired. And, to the 7th day adventists PLEASE put this site back to what it used to be - Wonderful, Helpful, simple to use.

AUI was drawn to FamilySearch as it's…free and seemed easy to use. I was drawn to FamilySearch as it's free, and my husband was already paying a subscription for MyHeritage. I trusted it until it took me way back BC and to Adam and Eve, via plenty of royalty. Now I don't have any faith in it (well maybe for a few hundred years back) and I wonder if their whole point is to convert the world to Creationism.
