Republic Wireless has been a fairly good company. Just watch out for system updates. I've had Republic Wireless going on almost 7 (~ 6½) years now. Republic Wireless has been a wonderful for me since day 1! Automatic payments at decent prices. And while paying ~ $25 for 1 gig is a lot these days, I realize that about 6 ½ years ago, along with my Motorola G4, this has been a pretty great deal! The only reason why I didn't give it a 5 Star rating is because although I never had issues with my phone service stopping without me knowing it, Sadly when Republic Wireless was updated it's system from 4G to 5G, my Mom's service got cancelled! Not only this, but they also said that it might take up to 2 weeks to get it fixed. What?!!! 2 weeks?!!! 😮 Honestly, I can't remember if my Mom was able to get them to move the date up for giving her back her service or if she just decided right then to switch. Regardless, it's sad to see a once wonderful service boot off their customers accidentally and then insist that their customers wait for 2 full weeks. 😞 If this had Not happened to my Mom, I would easily give this 5 Stars. And as far as my phone and current plan is concerned, it's still holding up. I was fortunate enough to keep my service through this transitionary phase and my phone (Moto G4) Still miraculously works! Again, except for this recent hiccup, Republic Wireless has been a pretty good company (in my opinion). So I'm happy to give this a solid 4/5 Stars! 😊❤️ Thanks Republic Wireless.

Since DISH acquired them, RW stinks! There was no response to support emails, so I had to call in. Call forwarding quit working on the old plan, so I upgraded to the new plan. Call forwarding still doesn't work ("SIM card error" even though everything else works), and support can't help and tells me to call the manufacturer of the phone. Also, there is no more RW app, which stinks, and that's where call forwarding used to live. Now you have to do it in the phone app. Also, it is extremely cumbersome to add more data because it has to be done through several clicks on the website, and it makes you log into the website every single time.

Great coverage and great price! I had Verizon and wanted to switch because of the price I was paying. I live in a rural area and was very concerned about how my coverage would be because it’s not that great where I live. I took the chance and switched and figured I’d switch right back if it wasn’t a do-able signal. It turns out I get more bars and better data coverage than I did with Verizon. My bill is less than half what it was. I’m very happy. I’ve had them for about 3 months now.

Mr. Morken, can you hear me now? I hung up after being on hold for over an hour waiting for “Support” to answer the phone. I joined the Republic wireless service during its beta phase on 12/26/11. I remained a faithful customer during the Dish takeover and upgraded to 5G devices. The service has worked reasonably well. However, support no longer exists. How can you support customers when you can't keep your own call center online? Dish? Nonetheless, besides lack of support, this takeover has created one very serious flaw in access to account information. It is no longer possible to access call history. Previously, call history was available for review and/or use for billing purposes. If it is still available, there is no obvious place to find it. Please explain why this basic feature of most cell providers is no longer available. Any professional using Republic service and billing their time, would lose all income associated with this carrier. Since it has been about 8 months since Dish assumed control, adequate time has passed for addressing this deficiency. Please make this information available via the online account console.

No cellular service REVISED ALLS GOOD I called Support today and the tech was able to help me reset some settings that fixed my connection issues. All's good now! I'm primarily connected to Wifi all day. Occasionally I see the voicemail icon. When I try to check it, I receive a message on screen that no Cellular network is connected. I have 0 bars unless I restart my the phone. I don't ever remember this happening the past 7+ years with Republic. If I make calls over wifi, why do I get this message. Going to give it a little time before I move to another provider.
