GBHad Republic Wireless since it went… Had Republic Wireless since it went nationwide over ten years ago, and always liked it. Since Dish took over the service has been horrible. I was always buying extra data. They removed the wifi calling feature. Your account number is not on their app or your billing information, so when you decide to leave, which you will, you will have to call customer service to get your account number and a transfer pin number

GBMint is better Was better service & pricing before dirty dish bought them out. Switched to Mint far better service and saving half my prior cost still with no contract!

GBHate yourself? Join Republic Wireless! They cancelled my service in response to a port request and have been unwilling to fix it. They keep delaying the deadline and keep breaking promises for updates. This used to be a decent company, but now they just don't care. And, these days, they aren't even close to being a deal compared to their competitors. EDIT: And now they've replied with a canned request for me to call them. As though I haven't called multiple times before bothering to put out negative reviews. Good grief.

GBSince DISH acquired them, RW stinks! There was no response to support emails, so I had to call in. Call forwarding quit working on the old plan, so I upgraded to the new plan. Call forwarding still doesn't work ("SIM card error" even though everything else works), and support can't help and tells me to call the manufacturer of the phone. Also, there is no more RW app, which stinks, and that's where call forwarding used to live. Now you have to do it in the phone app. Also, it is extremely cumbersome to add more data because it has to be done through several clicks on the website, and it makes you log into the website every single time.

GBNice while it lasted, but Dish broke it. Since Dish bought the service, it no longer does any of the things I valued. No more WiFi first, which was so important to me because I travel a lot. No more voicemail on the phone. I have to call a number like it's 1999. No more messaging through WiFi. A giant step backwards. Republic did wonderful, useful things when it started, but now it is just another fair-to-middling cell plan. I will shop around.
