GBThe bad reviews are actually bad customers I have shopped at Micro Center for many years. Their return policy is incredibly generous; their in-house Inland products are generally a good value; and they can sell you a computer ("PowerSpec") brand that is worth the price of entry and, get this, actually serviceable by anyone with half a brain. Unfortunately most of the reviews here, lack said half a brain. People are human; stores aren't perfect. But if you want to pretend that one of the best-regarded computer stores in the US should be more like a 5-star restaurant, and bow down to your idiocy, then you are gonna be disappointed.

GBPoor Customer Service and Communication I heard amazing things about Micro Center, so when my computer needed a repair I was happy one was close to me. The associates both times I went in for service said very few words to any questions I had. When their answers were longer and used lots of technical terms, I essentially had to ask them to "dumb it down" for me and was met with 1 or 2 word answers. I ended up overpaying way too much to have all of my data completely gone on a 5 year old laptop, which was not made clear to me at all before I approved the purchase. I was under the impression I just needed the swollen battery to be replaced. I strongly regret going to Micro Center which is a shame because I had such high hopes. I also don't think the associate was knowledgeable as he would give very vague or broad comments such as "your 5-year-old laptop could last a day or 10 years".

GBShocked to Hear MC Has Negative Reviews I have been a customer of Microcenter for years and have bought numerous laptops and other gear from them and have never had an issue. In fact when I learned from an online forum and computer news site that Microcenter had bad reviews - I was shocked. I feel far more secure buying my equipment from a local store with actual people with whom I can interact than buying online from sellers unknown.

GBOrdered a refurb Lenovo thinkcentre Ordered a refurb Lenovo thinkcentre. Within 10 mins got a email to proceed to the store. I selected curbside pickup, we waitied about an hour in our car. There was a line to limit people into the store in Queens, NY, considered to be the worst Covid outbreak worldwide. Employees were safe, and limiting people in the store. The curbside pickup delivery guy knew the order, got it quickly, and put the computer in the backseat of the car. I will be a long term customer to support local business. Stay safe.

GBTerrible customer service Terrible customer service when something under warranty goes wrong. They can’t make money off you then you know, so they just treat you like crap. Dennis their service Manager at Columbus Microcenter sucks.
