GBFull of flaws. It's as if the people at Squarespace have never built a website on their own site... I'm building a reasonably simple portfolio site and have encountered SO MANY issues. The most infuriating thing so far is the sizing. On my laptop and iPhone, my site is fine! But view the site on a Mac and everything changes - and looks really unprofessional - so you fix it on Mac and it screws it up for an iPad etc.. etc. Other issues that seem ridiculously easy to fix: you can't password-protect a page in a portfolio - meaning if you have work with NDA's it has to be kept separate. You are only allowed 3 colours, 4 fonts, 4 sizes. Spacing between different font sizes looks bizarre. And remember, I'm making a simple site- god forbid you actually wanted to have your business on Squarespace. Dog $hite. Go to Wix.

GBHorrible experience Horrible experience! I created a website and I upgraded my plan so that I could get and try the free Google workspace for free for a year. Well, their directions for how to do that through them is complicated and I ended up having to pay for Google Workspace. When I reached out to Squarespace via email (because they do not have a phone number) they said that I signed up wrong, that should have seen a free option. I didn't see a free option, I would have selected the free option if I saw it. Anyhow, I downgraded my Squarespace plan, but now I am stuck with paying for Google Workspace for a year. Squarespace has horrible instructions and no customer service to help. Plus they talk down to you like you are an idiot. No, really, look at their instructions on how to add Google Workspace for free...its a nightmare.

GBI have built over 100’s of websites on… I have built over 100’s of websites on this platform and I cannot fault it! The bad reviews just don’t make sense? Is it something that users do to break it? I am very surprised by so many bad reviews. Non of my 100 website owners ever contacted with any issues…. I think competitors paying 💰 to kill Squarespace… cause it is the best platform by far.

CAPerfect? No. Solid and Worthwhile? Yes. I have four websites on Squarespace (including an ecomm shop) and have been on the platform for two years. I'm surprised by all of the one-star and negative reviews. Is it perfect? No. But no platform like this is perfect. However, I have had few issues and none that were not fixable in some way. SEO is pretty good and all four of my sites rank well and perform well on Google. Sure there are a few annoying things I'd like to see change, but the platform regularly evolves, which is a plus in my books.

GBWhen Your Business Website Vanishes: My Frustrating Experience with Squarespace I had my website domain with Google Domains for a long time and it always worked well. But when Google Domains closed, my domain was automatically moved to Squarespace. Right after it moved, my website stopped working and no one could visit it. I reached out to Squarespace for help, and they just sent me a standard reply saying it would be fixed in 5 to 7 days. This is a big deal because my website is very important for my work. Squarespace doesn't seem to understand this. If you're using your website for anything serious, Squarespace might not be the best choice. They might be okay for a personal site that you don't mind being down sometimes.
