DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM SPOT DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM SPOT. They knowingly and purposefully engage in dishonest billing practices. They employ what is known as a "Evergreen Clause" and make it *very difficult* to cancel their subscription services. You will be sorry if you do business with these SOBs..!!

SPOT should really change their pricing policies SPOT should really change their pricing policies, the auto renewel without any notice and the increased prices. There is a lack of and unclear communication online and through e-mail. This is so important especially when dealing with international customers where people might be used to different laws and rules. When i found out my credit card was debeted I called and SPOT did refund in the end, gladly. But this is just not the way to go. Also the service itself, i have been on places SPOT couldn't get out a SMS (usually in forests)... Gladly i didn't have to use the SOS service...

Awful customer service Awful customer service. Cannot write coherently, and said "since you are complaining..." which everyone knows is not proper form. Product needing a monthly subscription was not at all obvious from the product listing. Then finding out they charge a $30 activation fee on top of a large fee to not do a yearly subscription was a bummer. This is not doable in today's economy. Customer service rep was totally condescending in his attitude (Carlos) about how safety was worth it. Well, yes it is, if you have the money. But this is so tone deaf to most of us struggling to feed our family. Will be returning the product

Pleased with the Spot X I am now on my second year of using the Spot X unit. I am amazed at the amount of negative reviews on Spot as I have not have issues with customer service, payment, texting, tracking, custom messages, etc. Unit has performed above expectations but yes, their is a steep learning curve and I think that is why it gets bad reviews. When I first bought the unit, I studied the manual and found various instructional videos online and it all came together. I am definitely pleased with the unit.

Absolutely horrid Absolutely horrid. Have you ever had customer service so scammy they outsource to Africa? Ever had a situation with any reputable company that they absolutely WILL NOT cancel your subscription under any circumstances and if you want to get out you need to claim fraud with your credit card company and get a whole new card? Me either until now. This company is a syphilitic corpuscle. Don't touch it with a ten foot pole.
