Good Service Good Price... No major issues or problems Overall decent phone service for a decent price. Only had a few minor issues setting up the initial service. (I'm one of those people that need every new process spelled out for me step by step) and one other issue where the line was down for about 4 days with no explanation and I couldn't figure out why (I think it might have been an internet issue, see above lol) but then it magically restarted again. If your looking for good phone service at a good price then you're in the right place.

Tried to change my billing date online… Tried to change my billing date online using their 'chat' feature. Numerous attempts and it didn't work. I then tried using their online email to have them change my billing date. Numerous attempts and that didn't work. Tried using a phone number through Google search and received automated response that the number dialed was only for setting up a NEW account. No way to contact these people if you have a problem or need to make a change in you account. Customer service is truly NONEXISTENT!! The actual product and VoIP service is VERY GOOD but customer service isn't there!

Incompetent support techs I called support today to cancel one of the two lines I have through Basic Talk. Spoke to a man (Rajesh, in India) that could barely speak English. He refused to let me speak to an English speaking person and then canceled the number I wanted to keep instead of the number I told him to cancel. I called back on my other line to inform him of the mistake and he canceled the other line too. These people are criminals.

Awesome Phone Service For Great Price!!! Until Basic talk I was paying $25 dollars plus about $8 in fees and taxes. I get the same quality of service over the same internet connection I was using for the higher priced cable phone package. I can't get a telephone account for even twice the price that performs any better than Basic Talk! Love Basic Talk, worry free and hassle free service for $11 a month including taxes, amazing.

Number was hacked Number was hacked, and basic talk acted if I was the guilty party, shutting off my phone without letting me know. Suspending my account, not returning phone calls, charging me for service that I do not have. Cannot cancel because no one wants to take responsibility to handle this problem, every one is pointing to the other dept. I am stuck in the middle.
