GBBe warned! If you try to cancel your plan, be careful. They will tell you you're all set and they are sorry to see you go and then they will email you a letter thanking you for continuing your service with them and the charges will continue to be applied to your credit card. If you happen not to notice the charges, they will state that they have a policy of not offering refunds. This company is scamming its customers.

GBThe service was fine while we had it … The service was fine while we had it but I went with a triple play. I've been trying to cancel for months. They keep charging my credit card, I call, once the reversed the charge, but since then it's been one horrible call after another. The phone number is for cancellations only, so there is no dispute that that is my intention. I will be cancelling the credit card just to make it stop. Requests to speak to supervisors is useless. Promises of returned phone calls are lies. Never, ever using WalMart again for anything because of this experience. Horrible, horrible customer service.

TTA BASIC GIMMICK | Technically, it works, and as the name implies it's BASIC service. Except for Caller ID, and Call waiting, you get NOTHING more. Call Forwarding should be BASIC! PRICE is where it gets very deceptive! It's pushed as $10/month. That's a lie! I'm paying $15/month! Besides actual REAL taxes, they make up several charges and attempt to bamboozle you into believing they are Federal taxes. There are now "virtual" services which makes Basic Talk obsolete. By the way, BASIC TALK is a dumbed down version of VONAGE, which owns it.

GBCrap service Crap service. Have had basicTalk for years now since the Walmart $4.99 a month plan, Everything was working fine for years now. Now every single time you make a call you keep getting "device not registered". No matter how many times you reboot the phone adapter, it still keeps coming up with that error. BasicTalk support is useless and have not a clue on what they are doing. They just send you another adapter, charge you shipping when you should be paying for something, regardless of the number of adapters they send, the problem still does not go away. Cluess support that you can only reach via Chatroom that is 1/2 way around the world, they dont have an idea of what they are doing because its their network that goes down.

GBPlease contact the FCC and let them… Please contact the FCC and let them know of all the problems with Basic Talk (which is Vonage). We did and its very easy to do. Once the FCC gets involved Vonage MUST respond to your query. Perhaps if enough people make a complaint something MIGHT change. Or if you are looking to cancel and need a refund, again, contact the FCC - that is the fire Vonage needs to get moving and get your situation resolved. Unfortunately, even AFTER contacting the FCC, Basic Talk (Vonage) just blows more smoke up your derriere and makes it as though your box and connection are suddenly the problem (not them). That, after all these years you now need to connect the box directly to your phone and that's why there are dropped calls repeatedly and garbled speech. NOPE, it's Vonage. And, as if you didn't already know, Vonage (BasicTalk) is ALL based in India, not the USA and Basic Talk has NO SUPPORT.
