GBAwesome Phone Service For Great Price!!! Until Basic talk I was paying $25 dollars plus about $8 in fees and taxes. I get the same quality of service over the same internet connection I was using for the higher priced cable phone package. I can't get a telephone account for even twice the price that performs any better than Basic Talk! Love Basic Talk, worry free and hassle free service for $11 a month including taxes, amazing.

GBToo many lies. Rude customer service from India where english is uncomprehendable They start with 9.99 but with the taxes and additional fees will end upto 13.00. Then they started charging 911 which as part of the deal vs magic jack is free. Then now the kick it up again. I choose them because they promise they have customer service but they never say its is some rude Indian guys who lies to yo. They promise I can transfer my njmber for 30 days but yhe loophole is they complicate everything...No customer service at all. Never will I take this service nor recommned it at all

GBI had to argue with the rep to cancel … I had to argue with the rep to cancel my service because I got a bundled package with time Warner. They just charged me for a new month and refuse to credit my account for the month of service I'm not receiving. The rep said they have no way of issuing a credit, how does a reputable company not have that capability.

GBGood Service Good Price... No major issues or problems Overall decent phone service for a decent price. Only had a few minor issues setting up the initial service. (I'm one of those people that need every new process spelled out for me step by step) and one other issue where the line was down for about 4 days with no explanation and I couldn't figure out why (I think it might have been an internet issue, see above lol) but then it magically restarted again. If your looking for good phone service at a good price then you're in the right place.

GBPlease contact the FCC and let them… Please contact the FCC and let them know of all the problems with Basic Talk (which is Vonage). We did and its very easy to do. Once the FCC gets involved Vonage MUST respond to your query. Perhaps if enough people make a complaint something MIGHT change. Or if you are looking to cancel and need a refund, again, contact the FCC - that is the fire Vonage needs to get moving and get your situation resolved. Unfortunately, even AFTER contacting the FCC, Basic Talk (Vonage) just blows more smoke up your derriere and makes it as though your box and connection are suddenly the problem (not them). That, after all these years you now need to connect the box directly to your phone and that's why there are dropped calls repeatedly and garbled speech. NOPE, it's Vonage. And, as if you didn't already know, Vonage (BasicTalk) is ALL based in India, not the USA and Basic Talk has NO SUPPORT.
