The phone number listed for United States answers, tells you to go to help.microsoft.com then hangs up. I found a different number and it too did the exact same thing. Finally I used the volume license phone number and got the MS Office activated. Price was great, activation sucked.

Purchasing was as easy, but activation wasn't. Purchasing was as easy as on most websites. There was an almost immediate link to my download, including my set-up key. My only real problem, not only this time but with prior purchases as well, was that I could not activate the Microsoft product on-line. I had to copy down the activation number and then call Microsoft to get a rather long confirmation number to input. This is a difficult, awkward, and time-consuming process that is prone to error. Why doesn't the on-line activation work?
