Long-Time researcher I have been using EndNote since 1995. It was an inherently important part of my doctoral research. The ability to create multiple libraries was important. The ability to change format styles is very important as I present and publish papers in different venues. There as more features in EndNotes that I do not use, but I have not had the time to really did deep into the latest version.

This is overall an excellent product This is overall an excellent product. It really works. However, some items that are used frequently are difficult to find in the menus. For example, unformatting citations is done often and it should be located up front as a large button that is easy to find. You seem to focus on correcting elements of the program that are rarely used and do not attend to usual operations challenges.

Outdated Error prone serviceable tool The interface is old and clunky—-and the importing of citations from the online database are just riddled with errors. End note has a tough time with Chicago and online citations—-treats internet like it is 1997. Please please please have a real researcher show you whats wrong.

ENDNOTE is good but room for improvement exists. ENDNOTE can help organize thousands of references and conduct Boolean searches even within PDF files. The ability to FIND FULL TEXT works only about 50% of the time. There is no AI option to summarize content in one or more PDF files. CiteWhileYouWrite works ok with WORD, but annoying "bugs" exist.

I upgraded from several EN versions… I upgraded from several EN versions back. It was a little awkward to get used to EN21, but now that I have, I can appreciate some new features such as its remarkable ability to grab online PDFs without going through the usual hassles. There are a couple of older features that I miss, though: I used to be able to see a quick preview of a new reference in my chosen output format on-screen, without having to write it to an output file. (Maybe I just haven't figured out how to do that yet.) Also, on the Edit page the top toolbar is missing the Greek symbol conversion that used to be there. Also, it would be really helpful to give us a couple of highlight colors like yellow and red in that toolbar!
