As of recently apparently "In the Tech life industry 5 years refers to lifetime" James from the live chat support was able to help me with my TRUE lifetime renewal.

GBPurchased in 2019 as lifetime… Purchased in 2019 as lifetime subscription. Terms and conditions mentioned having to extend before the end of 5 years. Just extended again and was quick and painless. Talked with agent Mason who was able to extend my subscription asap without any pain VPN itself is decent - not as feature rich as ExpressVPN or Nord but for the price point does the job and is available on multiple platforms including Smart TVs.
