Talked with agent Mason who was able to extend my subscription asap without any pain VPN itself is decent - not as feature rich as ExpressVPN or Nord but for the price point does the job and is available on multiple platforms including Smart TVs.

I wasn't sure if it was believable back in 2019 that it can be extended by reaching out to their support. Here we are in 2024, I reached out to their support and James responded. As of recently apparently "In the Tech life industry 5 years refers to lifetime" James from the live chat support was able to help me with my TRUE lifetime renewal.
