When I retired, I decided to scan all of our 50,000+ negatives, photos, and slides accumulated over many years and from our families. I have several scanners, mostly abandoned by their manufacturers (current list: Pacific Image PowerSlide 3650 scanner, Minolta Dimage Elite Scan II film scanner, Canon FS4000US film scanner, Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500 document and photo scanner, Epson FastFoto FF-640 sheet-fed photo scanner, Epson V600 flatbed scanner). Vuescan protects scanner investment Owned HP 4050g scanner and run iMac desktop. HP stopped providing updated drivers within 2 years after purchase.It was replacement for HP scanner which they had previously abandon. Just get VueScan now! If there is one thing that moves you to purchase this amazing software, it should be this. The stellar support provided by the Hamricks! I purchased a plustek 8200i SE color slide scanner and opted to go with VueScan instead of the packaged software. I had issues with scan area and support response via email usually was under five minutes. I worked back and forth with Hamrick until the issue was resolved and ended up helping test a new version of the software that fixed the issue. The infrared dust and scratch detection and repair is utterly amazing and will save weeks of post-processing where I will not have to enter Adobe products to address. Scan time is much faster than the supplied clunky software as well. If you have a large project, get VueScan and knock it out! Superb, can't say enough about the support and functions. Get it!

VueScan is a product I will buy again! VueScan is worth the money! I am really happy that this product exists! For me it solved the issue of continuing to use existing hardware. And the software really helps to digitalize documents and securing them this way. One of my favorite features is the continuous document scanning where one and only one file is created. Great program Great program. I have been using the program for many years. I have scanned in a majority of our family photos, both negatives and prints, dating back to the early 1900s. The program is easy to use, does a great job, a variety of scanning options and outstanding customer support. It is the ONLY scanning program I would use!
