GBVueScan Extended the Life of My Scanner Indefinitely! VueScan/Hamrick software allowed me to extend the life of my home scanner indefinitely! Despite having intermittent scanning requirements, I purchased an extremely nice scanner for home use. Unfortunately, within a couple years, the manufacturer decided to stop all updates, thereby deeming my home scanner obsolete. Hating the thought of that occurring so soon, I searched online and found Hamrick.com. And what a blessing that has been! (I think it was five or more years ago that I first installed VueScan software.) In addition to fantastic software - which keeps my scanner working like a charm - Ed and his Hamrick team provide friendly and personalized customer service as well as frequent newsletters to their customers! I cannot say enough good things about this company and its software - I so appreciate all of it - without question, it is a 5-star-plus-plus-plus outfit!

GBJust get VueScan now! If there is one thing that moves you to purchase this amazing software, it should be this. The stellar support provided by the Hamricks! I purchased a plustek 8200i SE color slide scanner and opted to go with VueScan instead of the packaged software. I had issues with scan area and support response via email usually was under five minutes. I worked back and forth with Hamrick until the issue was resolved and ended up helping test a new version of the software that fixed the issue. The infrared dust and scratch detection and repair is utterly amazing and will save weeks of post-processing where I will not have to enter Adobe products to address. Scan time is much faster than the supplied clunky software as well. If you have a large project, get VueScan and knock it out! Superb, can't say enough about the support and functions. Get it!

GBGood software, great customer support Software is good -- much better than the Epson software that came with my scanner (I have an Epson V700 and a V500 which I now use with VueScan). I am a novice with scanning, but use the software about 8 hours a week, on multiple scanners (the older Epsons previously mentioned and a Plustek 8300i) in a long-term effort to digitize my family photos, negatives, and documents. The software itself doesn't at first appear particularly flashy, but it is a good, versatile scanning tool with a ton of powerful features (different modes open up lots of different options). I particularly like the fact that you can skew the scans, which the Epson software doesn't allow. The software can also do Transparency mode (negatives/slides) assuming your scanner has a backlight. The customer support is really great as well. This morning, one of the updates had a bug or conflict specific to one of my scanners: I contacted help and in under an hour Ed had sent me a test version to see if it would fix the bug. It did, and will be rolled out in the next general update, but in the meantime I have a working beta version. I've never experienced that kind of support from a software company, so on that basis alone I would recommend the product/company.

GBI bought a used 35mm film negative… I bought a used 35mm film negative scanner (Minolta Dimage) great bit of kit but software was not compatible with W10. Bought the Hamrick software to undertake the scanning ..... it did scanning of 700 35mm slides very well. Only issue I had was with software the Scanner had USB connection issues - didn't have them without the sofware. Fix was a shorter USB lead and it all worked OK.
