Great Software / Great Support Was having issues with an old Epson scanner. The software would start, but then stall mid-scan. Troubleshooting with Ed he was able to get it working again. It's rare these days to get this kind of timely and responsive tech support. Highly recommend the software and should you need support, you're in good hands!

Great software for those who scan a lot I've been using ViewScan Professional for many years for many years (both for scanning sheets of paper and for scanning slides) and I intend to use it for many more! I've also installed it on some clients' machines. The main attractions of the software are: 1. It works on thousands of models of scanners, modern and old, and it is a great way to get the most from all of them while working with a consistent user interface. 2. It offers a huge range of features, supporting almost any feature built into a scanner (e.g. infrared pre-scan, sheet feeder) or even ones not built into the scanners in the first place such as multiple samples. These will probably only only be relevant to some people and only some of the time, but when you need the feature, you will be very grateful it is there! All in all, the great thing is that it's an "all in one" solution for all scanners, and is continuously being developed both in terms of adding new scanner models to the range and in terms of image processing features (for example, a recent feature is "hole punch removal" which does exactly what you imagine). On the downside, it's a big program, the interface is a little old fashioned, so there's a significant learning curve (particularly if you use it to scan colour negatives or slides). Therefore, it's probably not the software for the ocassional user, but if you scan regularly, and certainly if you scan a lot, this is the bees knees!

Excellent Lifesaver for Old Hardware!! I’ve used Vuescan over the last six or seven years for my family/travel Slide and Photo Archive project. The mechanics on my Nikon L5000 are still fine, even though the company long ago stopped supporting it. The VS driver and software keep it and my project(s) chugging along. Well worth the cost and product support is excellent.

VueScan Extended the Life of My Scanner Indefinitely! VueScan/Hamrick software allowed me to extend the life of my home scanner indefinitely! Despite having intermittent scanning requirements, I purchased an extremely nice scanner for home use. Unfortunately, within a couple years, the manufacturer decided to stop all updates, thereby deeming my home scanner obsolete. Hating the thought of that occurring so soon, I searched online and found Hamrick.com. And what a blessing that has been! (I think it was five or more years ago that I first installed VueScan software.) In addition to fantastic software - which keeps my scanner working like a charm - Ed and his Hamrick team provide friendly and personalized customer service as well as frequent newsletters to their customers! I cannot say enough good things about this company and its software - I so appreciate all of it - without question, it is a 5-star-plus-plus-plus outfit!

VueScan is a product I will buy again! VueScan is worth the money! I am really happy that this product exists! For me it solved the issue of continuing to use existing hardware. And the software really helps to digitalize documents and securing them this way. One of my favorite features is the continuous document scanning where one and only one file is created. Please keep up the awesome work!
